Beetle buzzing at our door tonight, trying to get in!!! Shocked Have the beetles started coming out where you are yet?? Are you scared of them?

I don't like them, and even though we have security screens on our doors and windows, I went and closed the house up, so there was no way the little buggers will get in. Laughing Rolling Eyes Laughing

donna you cant talk like that bout your kids, or lock up so they cant sneak in!!! hehehehehe

I love them - OUTSIDE.. hehe my kids love catching them!! and its such a summer christmas thing!!

I'm sure if my girls were outside with the beetle, you would have heard the screaming from your house!! They are absolutely terrified of them. Laughing

Do we get them down in Vic????? I don't think i have seen them down here. We had them in NSW and the Gold Coast, ill have to keep alook out

we havent had beetles yet...that ive noticed... but the crickets have started chirping right outside our bedroom window....great Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Hi Tarz!! Haven't seen you around in ages Sad

The crickets have started here too, they can stay outside with the beetles! Laughing I'm guessing the beetles won't be too far away for other people too.

They always remind me of summer and Christmas too Kazy!! The silly season is coming Wink

I'm not sure if you get them in VIC or not?? Confused I guess you would Icon_th_confused-dontknow4

Some years there can be hardly any, but last year there were heaps of Christmas beetles here.
Haven't seen any yet though.

They're 'Christmas' beetles, purpleturtle. Wink
The ones that are a light brown but have colourful wings when you look closely at them.
