I think work has over payed me around $100. I will have to check my pay slip when i pick it up tonight, but I did the same hours as usual and got payed an extra $100 to usual...

SHHH dont tell the boss hehe

But if i spend it, and they realise they made a mistake will I have to pay it back..? Ill tell them to get lost if they do, but whats the rules, anyone know...?

i think they take it out of your next pay... though also depends on whether it shows up on the pay slip too, as it may be somethink that slips passed them.

could it have been from working into a public holiday???

Hi Tarz.

Do you know if it was just you who got overpaid, or did everyone else? We got overpaid in our commissions last year because we had a new paymaster who didnt know what she was doing for a while, whoever trained her didnt explain everything. In the end the company had paid out over $10,000 in overpayments. The boss decided to let it go as a way of showing his appreciation for our hard work. I think I only ended up with about $30 extra over the 3 weeks it was going on for.

Plan for your tattoo but leave the cash there for a week or two, that way you wont have to find it for hte bills etc if they discover it and it was an overpayment.

Well this can be good and bad - good if they don't notice and you get to keep it but if they notice you will have to pay it back or as Larissa said they'll take it off your next pay.

Obviously don't say anything - good luck - hope you get away with it YAY

Oh p.s you'll have to fill me in on what your next tattoo is. I want to get something for Jordan and Ava soon and contemplating a tiny nose piercing!!

Unfortunately, yes they are within their rights to claim it back. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Tarz. If you want to get technical about it, they have to let you pay it back at a rate of 25% each pay until the debt is fully paid, but for only $100 they might just let it go.

And if they do, it's your shout! Icon_th_beer

Lily will be proud of this one...
I am getting the NZ silver fern, I just havent decided 100% where,
I was originally thinking around my foot/ankle but now im more into getting it on the back of my neck, itll only be small, but big enough to see..(when my hair is up) I am pretty sure that is where i want it but i might just sit on it for a couple of weeks before i go ahead, just incase i change my mind of its location....
